Elliott Teaford of the OC Register: Defenseman Cam Fowler had surgery on Friday to repair fractures to this orbital bone, cheekbone and upper jaw. No timetable for his return has been set.
Murphy weeks away
Scott Powers: Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Connor Murphy is still “weeks” away from being able to return according to head coach Jeremy Colliton. Murphy was on the ice after the Blackhawks practiced over the weekend.
Foigno injured in the third
Minnesota Wild: Forward Marcus Foligno on his third period injury: “Kind of like a dead leg, and a little bit on the bone. But it came back negative…hoping just to ice it and hopefully this thing is feeling better by tomorrow or the next day.”
Ailing Blues
Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post Dispatch: Both Carl Gunnarsson and Jaden Schwartz missed the Blues last game due to injuries sustained in their prior game against Vegas.
Alex Steen also remains injured.
The Blues placed Patrick Maroon on the IR with an upper-body injury.
