The Bruins could get another forward back on Friday
John Shannon: It’s sounding like Boston Bruins forward Sean Kuraly could return to the lineup on Friday night.
Chris Johnston: Bruins forward Marcus Johansson and defenseman John Moore replaced Karson Kuhlman and Steven Kampfer in the lineup last night.
de Haan cleared … Ferland doubtful
Tom Gulitti: Carolina Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour said that defenseman Calvin de Haan has been medically cleared to return.
When de Haan feels good enough to return, then he’ll get back in the lineup.
Brind’Amour said that de Haan’s practice yesterday was his best so far. The was not among their top six at practice yesterday.
Tom Gulitti: Brind’Amour said that forward Micheal Ferland (upper-body) has basically been ruled out for Game 4 tonight.
Brassard and Girardi still not ready
Rick Sadowski: Colorado Avalanche forward Derick Brassard and defenseman Samuel Girardi were still not ready to return last night.
Vlasic could return
Curtis Pashelka: San Jose Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic doesn’t remember where he was hit from the Shea Theodore shot.
Vlasic said that he felt good yesterday, “it felt really good.”
It was his first time being on the ice since he was injured. He could be a possibility for Game 5.
Kevin Kurz of The Athletic: Vlasic was a full participant in practice yesterday and could return after missing the past two and a half games. He was paired with Brent Burns.
Coach Pete DeBoer said it was a possibility.
“He’s a big piece for us. I think especially when you take (Radim) Simek out, too, and (Erik) Karlsson obviously not at 100 percent, it creates some holes for us,” DeBoer said, while adding that the players that came into the lineup, such as Joakim Ryan, “have done a good job.”
