NHL Injury Updates

Eric Stephens: Anaheim Ducks defenseman Hampus Lindholm is eligible to be activated from the IR on Thursday but it’s not known if he will be. His lower-body injury has been a lingering issue since the last week of October.

Joe Haggerty: Boston Bruins forward Jake DeBrusk (lower-body) appears unlikely for Tuesday’s game. They are hopeful that he’ll be ready for the weekend’s game against the Maple Leafs.

Boston Bruins: Coach Bruce Cassidy said that forwards Joakim Nordstrom and Par Lindholm appear to be ready to return to the lineup.

Forward David Backes is feeling better but there is no further update.

Brian Hedger: The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed defenseman Markus Nutivaara on the IR with an upper-body injury.

Dallas Stars: Stars forward Roope Hintz will be out for two weeks with a lower-body injury.

Defenseman John Klingberg is out two to four weeks with a lower-body injury. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Defenseman Roman Polak (sternum) could play on this road trip.

Jameson Olive: Florida Panthers defenseman MacKenzie Weegar left last night’s game early.

  • George Richards: Weegar took a shot off the side of his head and needed help from the trainer to get off the ice.

Chris Johnston: Toronto Maple Leafs winger Mitch Marner will be out for at least four weeks.

The Leafs are able to place him on the LTIR which will help alleviate their salary cap issues for the time being.

  • Jonas Siegel: Marner will miss at least their next 12 games.

Mark Zwolinski: It is looking like Maple Leafs forward Zach Hyman will make his season debut on Wednesday.

Samantha Pell: Washington Capitals forward Richard Panik is eligible to come off the LTIR today.
