Colorado opens as the early favorite to win the 2027 Stanley Cup, but the race starts with a crowded top tier. The Avalanche, defending champion Carolina Hurricanes, Vegas Golden Knights, Edmonton Oilers, and Florida Panthers all sit near the front of the board as the NHL prepares for its 2026–27 season.

The opening market reflects established contenders, rising clubs, and teams in various stages of rebuilding. CasinoBossy Casino provides a clear Stanley Cup futures snapshot of where all 32 teams stand before training camp, roster battles, and the first major injury news reshape expectations.

Colorado Leads A Crowded Contender Tier

The Avalanche holds the shortest opening price at +700. Carolina follows at +750 after winning the 2026 Stanley Cup. Vegas sits at +1000, while Edmonton and Florida both open at +1100.

Colorado remains built around Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, and the tandem goaltending team of Mackenzie Blackwood and Scott Wedgewood. The Hurricanes have a championship core led by Sebastian Aho, Andrei Svechnikov, and Jaccob Slavin. Vegas carries another strong roster after reaching the 2026 Final, while Edmonton still leans on Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl to drive its title hopes.

Tampa Bay at +1200, Minnesota at +1400, and Dallas at +1500 round out the next group. The Lightning remain dangerous with Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point, and Andrei Vasilevskiy. Minnesota has emerged as a credible threat in the West, while Dallas continues to feature enough top-end talent to make another deep run.

The market also gives respect to Ottawa and Buffalo, both listed at +1800. Montreal and Anaheim sit at +2200. Those teams still need to prove they can sustain success over a full season, but their odds show that the league views their young cores as capable of making a real move.

2027 Stanley Cup Odds For Every Team

CasinoBossy Stanley Cup odds list the Colorado Avalanche at +700, followed by the Carolina Hurricanes at +750. The Vegas Golden Knights are +1000, with the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers each at +1100.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are +1200, the Minnesota Wild are +1400, and the Dallas Stars are +1500. The Ottawa Senators and Buffalo Sabres are both +1800. The Montreal Canadiens and Anaheim Ducks each open at +2200.

The New Jersey Devils and Utah Mammoth are both +3000. The Los Angeles Kings are +3500. The Columbus Blue Jackets, Philadelphia Flyers, and Washington Capitals each sit at +5000.

The Pittsburgh Penguins, San Jose Sharks, and Toronto Maple Leafs are all +6000. The Detroit Red Wings and New York Islanders are +6600. The Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, and Winnipeg Jets are each listed at +8000.

The St. Louis Blues are +10000. The Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators are +15000. The Seattle Kraken are +20000. The Calgary Flames are +30000, while the Vancouver Canucks have the longest opening price at +50000.

These numbers are not season forecasts. Futures odds reflect roster strength, goaltending, playoff experience, cap flexibility, and market expectations. They also change quickly. A major trade, a long-term injury, or a breakout campaign can move a team several spots before the calendar turns to November.

Pressure Builds For Teams In The Middle

The Maple Leafs at +6000, Rangers at +8000, and Penguins at +6000 enter the season with clear questions. Toronto still has elite offensive talent, but its next playoff run will define the franchise’s direction. New York needs its top players to rebound after an uneven season. Pittsburgh must decide how long it can keep building around Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang.

Buffalo at +1800 and Anaheim at +2200 carry more upside than their recent history suggests. Tage Thompson and Rasmus Dahlin give the Sabres high-end talent, while Anaheim’s young group includes Leo Carlsson, Cutter Gauthier, and Jackson LaCombe. Both clubs need better defensive structure and reliable goaltending to justify their improved prices.

Calgary and Vancouver occupy the bottom of the board for different reasons. The Flames are focused on their long-term direction and young talent. Vancouver faces pressure to stabilize its roster after missing the playoff standard expected in a Canadian market.

The NHL will play an expanded 84-game regular season in 2026–27. That creates more opportunities for clubs to gain ground, but it also raises the demand for depth and health. Colorado starts with the shortest number. Carolina starts with the Cup. Every other team begins with work to do.
