Pierre LeBrun: Derek Stepan’s deal with the Rangers is for two-years and $6.15 million.
Bob McKenzie: The Panthers and Tim Thomas have a deal in place and the signing will occur after the Panthers ownership change is official. If the deal is signed today, he could be in the lineup tonight. Should be a one-year deal in the $3 to $4 million range. Deal should have a lower salary base with performances bonuses to get it above $3 million.
