  • Michael Russo: Wild’s Josh Harding left practice after taking a high shot from Erik Haula.
  • Adam Vingan: The Capitals recall Casey Wellman from the AHL. Katie Carrera: Mikhail Grabovski didn’t join the team this morning, out for tonight.
  • Katie Carrera: Capitals Brooks Laich (groin) traveled with the team but he’s not eligible to come off the IR until Dec. 22nd.
  • Damian Cristodero: Lightning’s Victor Hedman (lower-body) taking part in his first full skate since the injury. Coach Cooper doesn’t expect him to play on this trip though. Hedman said that if today goes well, practices tomorrow, possibility that he plays on Thursday against the Predators.
  • David Alter: Maple Leafs defenseman Paul Ranger skated this today. He’s been dealing with an upper-body injury.
  • Aaron Portzline: Blue Jackets Jeremy Smith was sent back to the AHL, looking like Curtis McElhinney is close to returning.
  • Roger Millions: Flames Lee Stempniak and Mike Cammalleri are not part of line rushes. Hard to believe that both will be out tonight, very intriguing. Update: Cammalleri was feeling sick according to Wes Gilbertson.
  • Roger Millions: Flames lines: Bouma – Colborne – McGrattan, Hudler – Stajan – Galiardi,  Glencross – Monahan – Hudler,  Byron – Backlund – B. Jones.

  • Minnesota Wild: Wild top two lines at practice: Parise-Koivu-Coyle, Nino-Haula-Pominville.
  • Joe Yerdon: Ryan Miller will start in net for the Sabres.
  • Ansar Khan: Jonas Gustavsson will start in net for the Red Wings.
  • Joe Yerdon: Ondrej Pavelec will start in net for the Jets.
