As reported on TSN “The Montreal Canadiens began their offseason moves with a bang on Monday, as general manager Bob Gainey announced that the club has hired Jacques Martin as their new head coach”…
It looks like the Canadiens are looking to a more experienced coach. You could argue that the Senators were a better club with Martin at the helm but he couldn’t seem to get them over the same hump Montreal is facing right now. It should be interesting to see how it works out but it’s my guess that Gainey is running out of lives.
