Mike Chambers of the Denver Post: Avalanche defenseman Erik Johnson is out indefinitely with a head injury. Johnson, along with Gabriel Landeskog won’t accompany the team to their 2 game road trip. Defenseman Matt Hunwick and center John Mitchell will return to the lineup.
