- Jim Gintonio of the Arizona Republic: The Phoenix Coyotes signed restricted free agent Martin Hanzal to a 2 year, $3.6 million contract. He’ll make $1.5 million in the 1st year, $2.1 million in the 2nd.
Last year Hanzal scored 11 goals, added 22 assists with 104 PIMs in 81 games. In 227 career games he has 30 goals and 99 assists, with 172 PIMs.
- Adrian Dater of the Denver Post: The Colorado Avalanche signed restricted free agent Peter Mueller to a 2 year, $4 million contract. He’ll make $1.5 million this year, $2.5 million next year. The Avalanche are currently just under the salary cap floor with 22 players signed.
