Free Agent Hits: Cleary, Nothing new on Kadri and Franson, Raymond get PTO
  • Darren Dreger: The Stars would have to clear cap space if they were to add Daniel Cleary, doesn’t sound that it’s likely to happen. Cleary continues to look at his options. He’s unsure if he’ll have a contract in place by the start of training camp.
  • Jonas Siegel: Leafs GM Dave Nonis said there is nothing new to report on RFAs Nazem Kadri and Cody Franson.
  • Josh Rimer: Mason Raymond gets a tryout with the Maple Leafs. Raymond via a text: “I am grateful to be given the opportunity to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs, an original six team. I look forward to the challenge.” Mark Masters: Leafs GM Nonis said that they started talking to Raymond about a month ago,  ‘He’s looking for a chance to prove himself.’
