  • Ken Warren via twitter: Senators GM Bryan Murray is not optimistic for a quick CBA resolution, and will ask Jared Cowen to play in the AHL. Mika Zibanejad will also end up in Binghamton and will be asked to play left wing.
  • Dan Tencer via twitter: Oilers Ales Hemsky will give it a month before heading back to the Czech Republic to play.
  • Jeremy Rutherford via twitter: Blues Vladimir Tarasenko said that if there is a lockout he’ll decide between Peoria of the AHL and the KHL on September 15th after a talk with GM Doug Armstrong.
  • Adrian Dater via twitter: It’s possible that Gabriel Landeskog will play for Lake Erie of the AHL if there is a lockout.
  • Bob McKenzie via twitter: 18 year olds who played in the NHL last season and still could go to Junior (ie. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins), can also play in the AHL.
