NHL Injuries: Canadiens, Rangers, Flyers, Pens and More
Henrik Lundqvist

On the Montreal Canadiens …

  • Arpon Basu: Carey Price yesterday …

“I came back quickly, but I don’t hink me getting injured the second time necessarily has anything to do with my first injury. If you look at the tape that could have happened to me if I was 100 percent healthy. So whether they’re connected, I don’t know.”

Price on whether surgery was ever an option for him.

“No it wasn’t. The nature of my position, it was just bad for goaltenders. It’s the only way to explain it. It’s never been an option to get surgery, so that’s that. Time was going to be the only option to let it heal fully, and obviously it’s taken longer than expected.”

On the New York Rangers …

  • Andrew Gross: Henrik Lundqvist is day-to-day with neck spasms.

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

On the Pittsbugh Penguins …

  • Dave Molinari: Eric Fehr was on the ice today. He’s missed the past 14 games with an undisclosed injury.
  • Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Penguins center Kevin Porter had surgery on his ankle this morning and is done for the season.

“It’s a longer-term injury probably around the 12-week mark,” said coach Mike Sullivan. “So it’s a tough setback for him and for us.”

Beau Bennett was on the ice this morning. He’s missed 33 of their past 34 games with a shoulder injury.

On the Los Angeles Kings …

  • Jon Rosen: Defenseman Matt Greene skated this morning. There is no timetable for his return.
  • Jon Rosen: Jordan Nolan is out indefinitely after having surgery for a herniated disc.

On the St. Louis Blues …

  • Andy Strickland: Center Jori Lehtera thinks he’ll be able to play on Sunday. He suffered a nasty cut in his mouth a few games ago.

On the Ottawa Senators …

  • Dean Brown: There is no update on Mark Borowiecki’s knee injury. He was in a full cast this morning.

On the Washington Capitals …
