Injury Notes: Timonen, Bertuzzi, Miller, Orpik and Sharp
  • Adam Kimelman: Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen is out for the rest of the season with a compression fracture in his right foot. Frank Seravalli: Recovery is expected to be four to five weeks.
  • Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press: Red Wings GM Ken Holland said that winger Todd Bertuzzi is almost ready to get back into the lineup. He’s been out since Feb. 7th. They will “decide after the morning skate” today. If he doesn’t go tonight, their next game is tomorrow. The Red Wings are down to 12 healthy forwards as Drew Miller broke his hand on the weekend.
  • Pittsburgh Penguins: Defenseman Brooks Orpik left last night’s game with a lower-body injury.
