Injury Notes: Vanek, Lupul, MacArthur, Komarov, McQuaid and Letang
  • Ian Mendes: Thomas Vanek missed his 5th game last night with an upper-body injury.
  • Hockey Central: Leafs Randy Carlyle said that Joffrey Lupul is day-to-day and wouldn’t use the work “concussion.” James Mirtle: Lupul won’t play tonight. Mark Masters: Carlyle on concussion concerns, ‘No, that’s a bad word. We don’t use that word until we’re 100% sure.’
  • Maple Leafs: The Leafs are expected to have Clarke MacArthur and Leo Komarov back in the lineup tonight.
  • Joe Haggerty of CSNNE: Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid may return to practice from his shoulder strain next week. The injury occurred on March 11th and it was thought that he could miss up to 6 weeks.
  • Pittsburgh Penguins: Defenseman Kris Letang skated on his own yesterday. (He’s getting close to returning)
