Injury Notes: Wisniewski, Bryzgalov, Fehr and Kane
  • Aaron Portzline: Blue Jackets James Wisniewski will likely be out another week according to coach Todd Richards.
  • Pierre LeBrun: Oilers coach Dallas Easkins said that Ilya Bryzgalov is getting “close” and needs to clear one more hurdle. He is day-to-day now.
  • Katie Carrera: Capitals Eric Fehr returned to the game last night after going through NHL concussion protocol: “I feel a lot better, just a little dazed from the hit.”
  • Winnipeg Free Press: Jets Evander Kane has been out for a couple weeks with a lower-body injury and could be close to returning. On if he’ll play this afternoon.

“We’ll see — I have to talk to Claude and we’ll go from there. “We’ll have to make that decision later today,” said Kane.

(from yesterday) “I’m not sure if he’s a player for tomorrow. I will have to check on that. Normally, we like to go a little longer with that. And nothing’s changed — you want to set a player up to succeed. I’m not sure if I feel comfortable with that right now.”
