There is some significant changes to the Boston Bruins roster from a week ago. A couple trades and 2 big injuries to key players have lessened the firepower of the Bruins. The Bruins were suppose to be the cream of crop in the Northeast Division, but have struggled out of the gate with a 3-4-0 record, third in the division. And it might be getting worse.
- Matt Pepin of the Boston Globe: Marc Savard has been place on longterm injured reserve and will be out 4-6 weeks with a broken left foot. Savard has lead the team in scoring in each of the last 3 seasons.
- Chad Finn of the Boston Globe: On Monday Bruins learned they will be without power forward Milan Lucic for 4-6 weeks after surgery on a broken right index finger.
- Herald Staff at the Boston Herald: The Bruins added forward Daniel Paille for a 2010 3rd Round Pick, and a 2010 conditional 4th Round Pick from the Buffalo Sabres. The 25 year old Paille recorded 27 points last year, after recording 35 the previous season.
