The Minnesota Wild have signed right winger Jason Pominville to a five-year contract extension.

The 30-year old was originally drafted by the Buffalo Sabres, 55th overall in the second round of the 2001 draft. He was traded to the Wild at the trade deadline last year and was scheduled to become a UFA at the end of the season.
