Maple Leafs, Bruins, Flames and Blackhawks reduce their camp rosters
  • James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail: The Maple Leafs cut 23 players yesterday. Sent to the AHL’s Toronto Marlies: Josh Engel, Will Acton, Brayden Irwin, Dave Cowan, Kyle Neuber, Denny Urban, Kelsey Wilson, Matt Caruana, Tyler Brenner and Jamie Devane. Sent back to their junior teams: David Broll, Andrew Crescenzi, Sam Carrick, Josh Leivo, Josh Nicholls, Sondre Olden, Stuart Percy, Brad Ross and Garret Sparks. Released from their tryouts: Garrett Clarke, Mitch Heard, Mike Schwindt and Matt Stanisz.

  • Randy Sportak via twitter: The Flames reduced their training camp number by 19. Ryan Howse, Mitch Wahl and John Negrin were assigned to the AHL. The Flames have 44 players left in camp: 26 forwards, 14 defenseman and 4 goalies.
