More players heading overseas … Brule and O’Sullivan getting released from their teams … Schneider, JVR considering Europe
  • Sarah McLellan via twitter: Radim Vrbata is in Phoenix, but he’ll likely be heading to play with BK Mladá Boleslav in the Czech league by the beginning of November. He’s a part owner of the team.
  • Jason Botchford of the Vancouver Province: Canucks Cory Schneider is considering heading to Europe. Schneider is also a member of the PA’s bargaining committee.

“It would have to become more realistic, for sure,” Schneider said when asked about the possibility of going to Europe if there’s no CBA next week. “If they decide to go into a deep freeze, who knows when they will talk again or when this will get sorted out.

“If everyone is going to start heading over there with bad news, (jobs) are going to start filling up pretty quickly. It’s something I have to think about more seriously.”

“My agent is out there, talking to teams to see what is available,” Schneider said. “I haven’t really given him the green light to go and try to find something for sure.”
