Morning Rumors II: Kesler, Bourque, Cammalleri, Callahan, Hemsky, Maple Leafs and Ruutu
  • Steve Simmons: Flyers GM Paul Holmgren has told other GMs that he doesn’t have a deal for Ryan Kesler and isn’t likely going to be making one.
  • David Pagnotta: The Penguins are still in the mix for Canucks Ryan Kesler. They are also looking to add a defenseman. Sabres Henrik Tallinder could be a target.
  • Mark Spector: The Predators are not on Kesler’s list: Red Wings, Penguins and Flyers are.
  • Mark Spector: The Canucks wouldn’t trade Kesler within their division, ruling out the Ducks. They would like to send him to the East.
  • Farhan Lalji: (9:30 last night) Canucks GM Mike Gillis and Ryan Kesler’s agent, Kurt Overhardt, were talking at the arena.
  • David Pagnotta: Multiple sources saying the Canadiens have been working on a trade involving Rene Bourque.
  • Randy Sportak: Been told there is no truth to the Mike Cammalleri to the Blue Jackets rumors.
  • Ken Campbell: The Rangers and Ryan Callahan are still talking about a long-term extension. Too early to tell if it will get done.
  • Darren Dreger: No fewer than six teams have shown interest in Oilers Ales Hemsky.
  • Jim Matheson: Can scratch the Coyotes off the list of potential teams for Hemsky after the Erat trade.
  • Terry Koshan: Maple Leafs Dave Poulin reiterates that rentals are not an option: “Nothing has changed for us over the course of the day or the past couple of days.”
  • Ken Campbell: The Hurricanes are getting some calls on forward Tuomo Ruutu. Could be moved in right deal.
