Morning Rumors II: Sabres Edition: Flyers, Senators, Avs, Ehrhoff, Stewart, Moulson and Parenteau
  • Hope Smoke: Bob McKenzie: “Murray knows he has a long rebuild ahead of him and because of that he’s looking to acquire as much assets as possible”
  • Mike Harrington: Signs pointing to the Sabres not keeping Jaroslav Halak. Head coach Ted Nolan was talking about Jhonas Enroth being their No. 1 guy.
  • Dave Isaac: Now that Flyers Ray Emery has been listed as day-to-day, maybe the speculation that the Flyers will be going after Jaroslav Halak will stop.
  • Elliotte Friedman: If the Sabres trade Christian Ehrhoff, need to keep on eye on the cap recapture penalty. It doesn’t affect the team that would trade for him, but it could affect what the Sabres want in return for him.
  • Bob McKenzie: Potential Senators targets if the Sabres decide to flip Chris Stewart to them are Mark Stone, Matt Puempel, Mark Borowiecki and Fredrik Claesson.
  • A.J. Jakubec: Hearing the Sabres have asked the Senators for Mike Hoffman in any potential Chris Stewart trade.
  • Bob McKenzie: “Of course, wouldn’t it be infinitely more interesting if BUF traded Stewart and Matt Moulson to OTT for a really big haul. Buckle up.”
  • Adrian Dater: Dater has heard that the Senators want Chris Stewart. If they don’t land him, they could make a pitch for Avalanche’s P.A. Parenteau.
  • Adrian Dater: Dater doesn’t see the Stewart heading back to the Avalanche.
