- Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch: Blue Jackets prospect Ryan Murray is travelling to Columbus this weekend to have his injured right shoulder looked at. An MRI done earlier this week may have shown a torn labrum. If that remains the case, Murray will likely need surgery, and it would probably end his season. At least four months of recovery would needed.
“Surgery is not a certainty at this point,” Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson said. “We aren’t going to make a decision until Dr. (Larry) Watson is able to see him and examine him.”
