Murray may face surgery that could end his season … Stalberg to KHL … Agents make about $50 K on $2 million salary
  • Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch: Blue Jackets prospect Ryan Murray is travelling to Columbus this weekend to have his  injured right shoulder looked at. An MRI done earlier this week may have shown a torn labrum. If that remains the case, Murray will likely need surgery, and it would probably end his season. At least four months of recovery would needed.

“Surgery is not a certainty at this point,” Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson said. “We aren’t going to make a decision until Dr. (Larry) Watson is able to see him and examine him.”

  • Kevin Paul Dupont via twitter: At the average salary of $2 million a season, each player gives his agent approximately $50,000 a year.  $40 million gross would go to agents.
