  • Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago: Patrick Kane didn’t practice yesterday but will play today. Marcus Kruger will be in the lineup tonight. Corey Crawford is still day-to-day with an upper-body injury. He hasn’t started skating yet.

On the Boston Bruins …

  • Boston Bruins: Defenseman John-Michael Liles is not traveling with the team. He left Thursday’s game with a lower-body injury.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

  • Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: The Penguins announce that defenseman Olli Maatta is out week-to-week with a undisclosed injury. All coach Mike Sullivan would say is that it’s “lower-body.” Nick Bonino is questionable for today with an undisclosed injury that he suffered at practice. GM Jim Rutherford said that Bonino will be evaluated this morning.

On the Anaheim Ducks …

  • Eric Stephens of the OC Register: Chris Stewart has been out for six weeks with a fractured jaw, could be ready to return to the lineup. Defenseman Sami Vatanen (head) isn’t ready yet and Kevin Bieksa (upper-body) is questionable. Ryan Kesler is still out for personal reasons.

On the San Jose Sharks …

  • Curtis Pashelka: Joonas Donskoi’s injury is not thought to be serious. A lower-body muscular thing. He’s questionable for today.

On the Ottawa Senators …

  • Ken Warren: Clarke MacArthur passed his concussion baseline test and will speak with GM Bryan Murray today to talk about whether he’ll play this season or not.
  • Ottawa Senators: Chris Neil will return to the lineup tonight and Dion Phaneuf will miss his second straight game.
