Defenseman Torey Krug and Matt Grzelcyk, and forward Marcus Johansson will travel with the team.

Flames could have three players back

Pat Steinberg: Calgary Flames forwards Sean Monahan and Sam Bennett could play tonight.

Wes Gilbertson: Flames coach Bill Peters said that it’s possible that forward James Neal could return on Thursday.

Michael Smith: Calvin de Haan is practicing with a full face shield.

Landeskog skating but …

Ryan S. Clark: Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog is skating but not shooting. Coach Jared Bednar said he’s still on the four to six week projected return.

Bishop to dress tonight … Pitlick and Zuccarello traveling

Owen Newkirk: Dallas Stars goaltender Ben Bishop will dress tonight. Not known if he’ll start or not.

Forward Blake Comeau will be a game-time decision. He’ll skate in the morning and see how he feels after.

Sean Shapiro: Forward Tyler Pitlick and Mats Zuccarello will travel with the team on their road trip and will start practicing. How they progress will determine when they return to the lineup.

Karlsson has been skating

Kevin Kurz: San Jose Sharks defenseman Erik Karlsson has been skating the past three days. There isn’t any timetable as to when he’ll return to practice. Not playing on their two-game road trip.

Lightning not rushing Girardi and Stralman

Joe Smith: Tampa Bay Lightning defensemen Dan Girardi and Anton Stralman didn’t skate yesterday. Neither has suffered a setback – they aren’t rushing them back.

Kapanen looks ready … Gauthier out two games

Terry Koshan: Toronto Maple Leafs forward Kasperi Kapanen on when he got hurt against the Oilers: “It was just a subtle play, nothing special. Finished the game, felt fine and after that I just didn’t feel like myself.”

Luke Fox of Sportsnet: Kapanen is back practicing and ready for full contact. Coach Mike Babcock said that Kapanen may have been ready two games ago but they held him back.

Center Frederik Gauthier suffered a foot injury and will be re-evaluated on Thursday. He’ll miss at least their next two games.
