Adam Kimelman: Defenseman Andrew MacDonald will be out around a week with lower-body injury.

John Vogl: Sabres defenseman Zach Bogosian could be out for a month with a sprained knee. Coach Dan Bylsma said Bogosian has a MCL sprain and would be out “weeks.”

Paul Hamilton: Evander Kane could start taking some contact soon, and if all goes well, he might be able to return next week.
