James van Riemsdyk could return on Thursday

Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Daily News: It’s looking like Philadelphia Flyers winger James van Riemsdyk could return to the Flyers lineup on Thursday.

He’s missed the past 16 games with a right knee injury.

van Riemsdyk will likely start on the third line with Jordan Weal and Wayne Simmonds, and be on the second power play unit.

When asked if he expects to play on Thursday:

“We’ll see. Just day by day. Right now, I feel pretty good. We’ll see what the medical and that side says.”
