Murray suffers another concussion

Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Matt Murray will be out for an unknown amount of time due to another concussion.

It’s Murray’s second concussion since February, and third in the past 30 months. His past two concussions have occurred at practice.

Murray will miss Thursday’s game and possibly more.

“It’s at times like these where we’ve to rely on our depth, and we believe in the group that we have,” Sullivan said. “I think both Casey and Tristan have shown that they’re NHL-caliber goalies.”

Quick out weeks … Brown to skate this week

Jon Rosen: Los Angeles Kings hockey operations said that Jonathan Quick is “probably more like week-to-week.”

Jon Rosen: Not a big shock that the Kings are saying that Quick is “week-to-week” since they;ve already placed him on the IR. It is not a long-term injury like it was two years ago.

Jon Rosen: Dustin Brown and his broken finger will be back on the ice this week and will be skating with Gabe Vilardi.

Stastny questionable

Jesse Granger: Vegas Golden Knights forward Paul Stastny is questionable for tonight’s game. Jonathan Marchessault was given a maintenance day yesterday and will be in the lineup according to coach Gerard Gallant.

David Schoen: Knight forward Cody Eakin has been cleared for contact.

Schneider progressing, conditioning stint possible

Abbey Mastracco: Cory Schneider split time with Eddie Lack at practice yesterday. He also stayed out after practice to get some extra work.

Abbey Mastracco: New Jersey Devils forward Jesper Bratt was working out on his own yesterday. It’s possible that goaltender Cory Schneider goes on an AHL conditioning stint.

Martinsen misses practice

Scott King: Chicago Blackhawks Andreas Martinsen missed practice yesterday with a back issue.

Dzingel leaves practice early

Don Brennan: Ottawa Senators forward Ryan Dzingel left practice early yesterday. He’s been dealing with an injury this season.
