Michelle Gingras: Defenseman Victor Hedman practiced with the team yesterday in a regular jersey.

Erik Erlendsson: There is a good chance that Victor Hedman returns to the lineup on Saturday. He’s expected to be ready for Game 1 next week.

Erik Erlendsson: Ryan Callahan didn’t play last night and is unlikely for Saturday. Coach Jon Cooper said they are hopeful that he’s ready for Game 1, but it’s not a guarantee.

On the Chicago Blackhawks …

Mark Lazerus: Artem Anisimov and Andrew Shaw didn’t practice yesterday. Brian Bickell, Marian Hossa and Corey Crawford were at practice.

Brian Hedger: Shaw is likely out until the playoffs. Anisimov is doubtful for the Avalanche. Crawford is a possibility for the Blue Jackets. Coach Joel Quenneville is optimistic for Hossa being ready for the Avalanche, Hossa is not as optimistic as Quenneville is.

Brian Compton: Defenseman Matt Martin is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Pat Leonard: Defenseman Dan Girardi didn’t skate with the team yesterday morning.

Brett Cyrgalis: Coach Alain Vigneault said that Girardi is “day-to-day” and not sure if he’ll play in their last regular season game.

Dave Molinari: Coach Mike Sullivan said that Evgeni Malkin, Olli Maatta and Bryan Rust are out for the remainder of the regular season.

Dave Molinari: Sullivan said that Marc-Andre Fleury, who is out with a concussion, is making “significant progress.” There is no target date for his return yet.

Seth Rorabaugh: Sullivan said that Beau Bennett missed last night’s game with the same injury that he’s been out with lately.
