Anaheim Ducks forward Troy Terry to have hip surgery
Eric Stephens of The Athletic: The Anaheim Ducks announced yesterday that the forward Troy Terry requires hip surgery. How long Terry’s recovery time will be won’t be known until after the surgery. It’s not known if he’ll be ready for the start of training camp.
The Ducks said that Terry for months had been dealing with chronic hip impingement. During the end of the season and in the playoffs, Terry would miss practice and their morning skates to get treatment.
Assistant coach Ray Bennett leaves the Islanders and joins the Capitals
Stefen Rosner: The New York Islanders announced that assistant coach Ray Bennett won’t be back next season.
Sammi Silber: The Washington Capitals have hired Ray Bennett to replace Kirk Muller.

Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender heading back to Russia
Aaron Portzline: Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Ivan Fedotov suffered an undisclosed injury with Cleveland of the AHL and has returned back to Russia. Fedotov lost the starting job to Zach Sawchenko after the 29-year-old posted a 23-16-6 record with a .887 SV%. He’ll be a UFA on July 1st.
