On the Calgary Flames …

Elliotte Friedman: The Calgary Flames have signed Jaromir Jagr to a one-year deal with a $1 million base salary and $1 million in bonuses.

Pierre LeBrun: The Jagr-Flames deal may not be made official for a few days are they work out immigration issues. Jagr is expected to arrive in Calgary on Wednesday.

Pat Steinberg: With Jagr not signing until after rosters are due, it would allow the Flames to keep Mark Jankowski and sign Tanner Glass to be at 23 roster players for deadline if they so choose.

Chris Stevenson: Jagr to NHL.com

“If you don’t play well in Canada, it’s a much bigger issue than if you play well anywhere else,” Jagr said. “bit this is almost 100 percent my last NHL season, so at least I would be able to say my last season was in Canada.”

On the St. Louis Blues …

Lou Korac: The Blues will keep Klim Kostin around for seven to 10 days while he recovers from a lower-body injury before deciding what to do with him.

On the Minnesota Wild …

Dan Rosen: Forward Zach Parise won’t be ready to start the season.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

Sami Hoffren: Sources are saying, and not official yet, that Olli Juolevi will in SM-Liiga’s TPS this year.

On the Nashville Predators …
