Rangers and Hayes agree on a one-year deal

Larry Brooks: The New York Rangers have signed forward Kevin Hayes to a one-year deal at $5.125 million. The Rangers still have Ryan Spooner left to sign.

Wild sign a UFA forward on a two-way deal

Cap Friendly: The Minnesota Wild have signed free agent forward Matt Read to a one-year, two-way deal. Read will get $650,000 in the NHL and $250,000 in the AHL.

Blue Jackets sign first-round pick

Columbus Blue Jackets: The Blue Jackets have signed 2018 first-round pick Liam Foudy to a three-year entry-level deal.

The 18th overall pick scored 24 goals last season and added 16 assists in 65 games for the London Knights.
