On the Boston Bruins …

On the Toronto Maple Leafs …

Leafs PR: Leafs GM Lou Lamoriello said that goaltender Frederik Andersen will be out three to four weeks with an upper-body injury. He’s expected to be ready for the start of the season.

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

Tim Panaccio: Flyers GM Ron Hextall said that defenseman Radko Gudas suffered an upper-body injury during training and is hopeful that he won’t miss any regular season games.

On the Arizona Coyotes …

Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic: Coyotes defenseman Michael Stone is skating, but once informal scrimmages start, he leaves. Stone had ACL and MCL surgery back in April.

“These four months (of) me not being on my skates, that’s probably the longest I’ve gone since I was 4 years old,” Stone said. “It was a little bit of an adjustment at the start, but it came back quickly. Just the quads burn, muscles that I used in the gym but not on the ice. It’s a completely different feeling, so that’s coming.”

Coyotes prospect Nick Merkley also had ACL surgery – in March – and has been cleared by doctors.
