No-trade and No-movement clauses are affecting what the Winnipeg Jets would like to add. The Jets have interest in Mike Hoffman, but they are on his no-trade list. The Jets have moved on.
Though he does have a no-trade clause, defenseman Alex Edler could be a sleeper trade for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Vancouver Canucks are looking for a young, big player that has term on his deal or is under control. Potential fits could be Nick Bjugstad, Vladislav Namestnikov, or Brock Nelson.

The Toronto Maple Leafs were one of a few teams that were asking the Canucks what it would take to get Chris Tanev, who is now out. The cost would be high.
The same could be said for Arizona Coyotes defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson.
The Boston Bruins acquisition of Rangers defenseman Nick Holden doesn’t mean they are not still interested in another Rangers defenseman – Ryan McDonagh.
The Maple Leafs are interested in Detroit Red Wings center Luke Glendening, but maybe not for a draft pick due to being at 48 contract and not wanting to get back to 50. Maybe Josh Leivo would be part of a deal.
The Nashville Predators have shown some interest in Red Wings Tomas Tatar. Some teams may be more interested in Gustav Nyquist as he only has a year left on his deal as opposed to two with Tatar.
The Columbus Blue Jackets talked to the Senators about Derick Brassard and the Chicago Blackhawks about Artem Anisimov. Doubtful the Blue Jackets will meet the asking price for Brassard. Anisimov has a no-movement clause, and the Blackhawks may prefer to keep him.

The Washington Capitals and pending free agents defenseman John Carlson seem to be okay with waiting until after the season to talk extension.
