Injury notes
Boston Bruins: Forward Noel Acciari has an upper-body injury and didn’t practice yesterday.
Michael Smith: Carolina Hurricanes forwards Micheal Ferland and Jordan Martinook were on the ice yesterday. Saku Maenalanen was on the ice in a no-contact jersey.
Sara Civ: Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour said that Ferland could play tonight. If he can’t, Brind’Amour added that it would be a surprise if he wasn’t able to go at some point during the series.
Alison Lukan: Columbus Blue Jackets forward Josh Anderson won’t need surgery on his shoulder. He injured it in Game 2 and it didn’t allow him to play the physical game that he wanted to.
Brian Hedger: Anderson said that he felt “not great” in the third period of Game 6. He did get clearance to return after going through the concussion protocol, his shoulder was injured and Charlie McAvoy‘s hit may have aggravated it more.
Brian Hedger: Blue Jackets defenseman Markus Nutivaara has a torn left oblique that likely happened on a Nikita Kucherov hit. Recovery is usually four to six weeks.

Sabres sign Ruotsalainen
Buffalo Sabres: The Sabres have signed forward Arttu Ruotsalainen to a three-year entry-level contract.

Dave Isaac: Philadelphia Flyers coach Alain Vigneault said that Michel Therrien will be the power play coach, Mike Yeo will run their defenseman penalty kill, and Ian Laperriere will be pre-scouting.
