  • Lisa Dillman of the LA Times: Kings center Jarrett Stoll was taken to hospital yesterday morning after suffering a seizure according to Kings GM Dean Lombardi.

    “Everything is OK. They’ve run some tests and they still had another one to run,” Lombardi told The Times. “The bottom line is that he’s fine. Now the issue is what caused it.

    “There are a myriad of things that can cause them.”

  • Bill Watters: (regarding his comments yesterday that Cory Schneider wanted out due to off ice issues) Can’t clarify the issues, but led to believe it isn’t booze or drugs.
  • Darren Dreger: Sources saying that MLSE boss Tim Leiweke talk with Wayne Gretzky about joining MLSE. They have put talks on hold for now but plan on revisiting at some point. What Gretzky’s role could be hasn’t been determined.
  • SportsNet Ticker: Maple Leafs Mike Komisarek earned $19 million in 4 years with the Leafs, $120,253.16 per game or $1 million per point.
  • Mike Harrington: Nathan Gerbe’s buyout will cost the Sabres $308,333 for the next two seasons, eliminating his $1.45 million cap hit this year.
  • Mike Harrington: Sabres GM Darcy Regier said the Sabres won’t be buying out Ville Leino. Belief is that he wouldn’t be able to pass a physical, and you can’t buy an injured player out.
