  • Eric Macramalla via twitter: The players said no to mandatory visors last year. It needs players consent as per the CBA. Larry Brooks via twitter: Bill Daly said in an email that mandatory visors was “discussed briefly” during the CBA talks but was “no traction for change…” Katie Strang via twitter: The NHLPA plan to discuss visor issues and other equipment related matters in the summer.
  • Mike Chambers of the Denver Post: Chambers isn’t sure if Avalanche’s Matt Duchene and Ryan O’Reilly are even talking to each other anymore. Before O’Reilly signed the offer sheet, Duchene said:

    “For me, I don’t care about any of that. I just want to play hockey,” Duchene said on the video. “If I did look at it that way, maybe I would have done what he did. But I signed in June and … I love being an Av, everything about it. I love cheering for this team and that’s all that matters for me.”
