Rumors and Notes: Jets, Wild, Flyers, Parise, Suter, Prust, Luongo, Jagr, Semin, Hemsky, Brodeur and Knuble
  • Craig Custance via twitter: Custance has been told that even with the re-signing of Scott Clemmensen, it doesn’t rule them out of doing a Roberto Luongo trade.
  • Bruce Garrioch via twitter: Several teams interested in Alexander Semin. May circle back in a day after seeing where the market goes.
  • Lance Hornby of the Toronto Sun: If the Devils lose Martin Brodeur because they don’t have the money, it’s unlikely they’d be in on Roberto Luongo. Jonathan Bernier could be an option. Brodeur may be an ideal fit in Chicago. Predators GM David Poile on Ryan Suter:

“Both parties have stated their case and fondness of each other,” Poile told the Tennessean. “Starting (Sunday) in the next couple of days, there’s going to be a marriage or a separation.

“Ryan has told me (a lot of) times it’s not about the money, and I feel he’s going to be compensated very well with us or anywhere else. I don’t think we’re going to be losing out on Ryan Suter’s decision based on money. That’s what he has told me and I firmly believed (that) by what I would be prepared to put forth in an offer.”
