Rumors and Notes: Torres suspension reduced, Hurricanes, Jagr, Kuba, Ryan, Flyers, Capitals, Sabres, Nash and Blackhawks
  • Darren Dreger via twitter: Raffi Torres suspension has been reduced by 4 games. He’ll miss 8 regular season games next year instead of 12.
  • Darren Dreger via twitter: Jaromir Jagr wants to play in Montreal, but other teams are saying he wants $4 million for 1 year. Could take some time.
  • Bruce Garrioch via twitter: The Predators offered Filip Kuba a similar deal to the one he took from the Panthers. He still has a home on Tampa.
  • Darren Dreger via twitter: If the Ducks are to trade Bobby Ryan, they want a few pieces including a 2nd line center. Jim Matheson via twitter: If the Flyers really want Bobby Ryan, they would have to give up either Brayden Schenn or Sean Couturier and then work out the other pieces. Chuck Gormley of CSN Wahsington: The Capitals could be quietly looking at Bobby Ryan or Rick Nash. Gormley wonders if a package that included Marcus Johansson, Dmitry Orlov and the rights to Evgeni Kuznetsov would get it done? The Caps could look to invest in a veteran like Shane Doan or Jiri Hudler, on along the blueline in Matt Carle or Bryce Salvador. Jim Matheson via twitter: If Ducks and Sabres are talking about Ryan, you can bet the Sabres are peddling Derek Roy. The Ducks should be hot for Luke Adam or Marcus Foligno too.
  • Andy Strickland via twitter: The Blackhawks have been aggressively pursuing Zach Parise and Ryan Suter. Some players are helping recruit Parise.
