NHL Rumors: Blues, Habs, Lightning, Kings, Canucks, Oilers and Avs
P.K. Subban of the Montreal Canadiens and Steven Stamkos of the Tampa Bay Lightning
On the St. Louis Blues …

Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post Dispatch: Former Wild coach Mike Yeo interviewed for one of the Blues vacant assistant coaching positions on Thursday. The Blues have also spoken with Darryl Sydor, though a source said he’s not strongly in the mix. Craig Berube is another rumored candidate.

On the Montreal Canadiens, Tampa Bay Lightning, Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche …

Pierre LeBrun of ESPN: At least one team called the Canadiens about P.K. Subban, and the called didn’t go anywhere. LeBrun doesn’t think the Canadiens are calling teams about Subban, and puts the odds of Subban being traded before his no-movement clause kicks in on July 1st at about five percent.

“I don’t think they’re moving Subban, but I also think Bergevin has to listen because why not?” said one Western Conference NHL team executive. “But it would take a huge offer. I don’t see it happening.”

Despite the Lightning’s playoff success without Steven Stamkos, they “positively want to re-sign” him. They would need to re-sign at a number that fits into their plan for the next two years with all the players they also need to re-sign.

There hasn’t been much talk between the Kings and Milan Lucic since the season ended. Lucic would like to re-sign with the Kings, but he’s also becoming comfortable with the idea that he could be heading to free agency.

LeBrun thinks the Canucks next top priority is to add a winger in the draft, or through a trade or free agency. They could target Milan Lucic or Loui Eriksson on the free agent market if they get there.

The Oilers could also be interested in Lucic if he gets to July 1st, he could be interested in playing beside Connor McDavid.

If the Avalanche think they can’t sign Tyson Barrie, they will definitely see what they could get for him. The Oilers would be among the teams interested.
