The Dallas Stars trade center Derek Roy to the Vancouver Canucks for 2013 2nd round pick and defenseman Kevin Connauton.
The 29-year old Roy was drafted by the Sabres, 32nd overall in the 2001 draft. He carries a $4 million cap hit and will be a UFA at the end of the season.
The 23-year old Connauton was drafted by the Canucks, 83rd overall in the 3rd round of the 2009 draft.
