Mike Heika: The Dallas Stars have acquired the rights to Ottawa Senators pending UFA defenseman Sergei Gonchar for a 2013 conditional 6th round pick. They hope to be able to sign him to a two year contract.
If Gonchar doesn’t sign with the Stars, they keep the pick.
