I – Hurricanes, Blue Jackets, Devils, Islanders, Rangers, Flyers, Penguins and Capitals.
II – Bruins, Sabres, Red Wings, Panthers, Canadiens, Senators, Lightning and Maple Leafs.
III – Blackhawks, Avalanche, Stars, Wild, Predators, Blues and Jets.
IV – Ducks, Flames, Oilers, Kings, Coyotes, Sharks and Canucks.
Friedman noted that there is some kind of wild-card being discussed for the 2 divisions that have 8 teams.
