Allen seems doubtful for Thursday

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Coach Mike Yeo didn’t have much of an update on goaltender Jake Allen.

“I don’t have much of an update,” Yeo said. “Obviously he’s not on the ice today. I think he is feeling better. He got on the bike there this morning. We’ll just see how he’s doing tomorrow.”

Allen’s status for Thursday isn’t known, but he appears to be doubtful.

Blues getting healthier

Lou Korac: Blues coach Mike Yeo said that Allen was able to ride a bike yesterday. Robby Fabbri is an option for Thursday. If Carl Gunnarsson and Nikita Soshnikov get clearance, they could be options for Thursday as well. Alex Steen has some tightness in his neck.

Rinne feeling great

Paul Skrbina of the Tennessean: Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne said he’s feeling great as he waits for the go-ahead from doctors and coaches.

Teammate Kevin Fiala crashed into Rinne back on Oct. 19th. Rinne “felt something off” several minutes after the collision.

“If felt like I could possibly finish the game,” Rinne said. “But at the same time I felt like it might not be too beneficial for myself.

“It was nothing serious, so that’s the main thing. … I decided I have to get off. It was the right call.”
